About Judy Alvarez

Currently a Palm City, FL resident, Class “A” member of both PGA/LPGA, Judy teaches golf at Mariner Sands CC in Stuart, Florida, is the PGA National Military Golf Trainer for the Wounded Warrior Project, Adjunct Faculty Member for The PGA of America’s Professional Golf Management Program.

When you agree to meet Judy at her office, the first thing you’ll notice is that there are no walls, no windows or ceilings – just fresh air and a bagful of hope and promise – which is just the way she likes it.

For more than 20 years, she has been a PGA and LPGA Professional and the “CEO” of her domain at one of many practice ranges throughout the country where she has met men and women in search of a new chapter in their lives. Golf has been their vehicle, and she has been the driver.

Judy has been honored by the Department of Defense, with the Seven Seals Award for her outstanding support of Florida’s National Guard and Reserve forces.

She is currently a member of several PGA National Committees: the Inclusion Committee, the Disabled Golf Committee, and a member of the PGA Golf Tour 2.0 Strategic Initiative Team, “Drive for Diversity.”

Testimonials

Carol Mann LPGA & World Golf Hall of Fame Member

“…Honest stories of her own heartfelt need to learn how to deal with special needs people convey her personal and professional integrity. Further, the stories of her skills applied to desires of her students, albeit reluctant, skeptical and otherwise, tell of the triumphs of both. Judy has composed prose about golf never before written. She delves deep into the essences of golf and its extraordinary effects on its players.”

Rick Martino PGA Master Professional Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher

“Why does anyone want to play golf? The game can be exceedingly difficult on your best days! The game of golf is often about adjusting one’s character. These stories tell of the character of students and the adjustment that golf brought to their lives. Those adjustments brought joy into the lives of golfers. Thanks, Judy.”
